デニス・ブラウン（Dennis Brown, 1957年2月1日 - 1999年7月1日）は、ジャマイカ・キングストン出身のレゲエシンガー。75枚以上のアルバムをリリースし、「レゲエの貴公子 (The Crown Prince of Reggae)」と呼ばれた。
略歴[編集]
デリック・ハリオットに見出され13歳で歌手としてデビュー。1970年にコクソン・ドッドのスタジオ・ワンレーベルからデビューアルバム『No Man Is An Island』をリリース。以降、「Trojan」、「Harry J」、「Joe Gibbs」、「Vp」、「Ras」、「Taxi」等、複数のレーベルよりアルバムをリリースした。また、7インチシングル盤でリリースされた「Sitting & Watching」「Wolves and Leopards」「Here I Come」等、複数のヒット曲を放っている。1979年3月にシングル「Money In My Pocket」が全英チャート14位のヒットを記録した。
1999年7月1日、気胸により逝去。42歳。葬儀にはP.J.パターソン首相や、エドワード・シアガ元首相も駆けつけ、弔辞を読みあげた。同年7月17日、首相経験者や偉人を葬る、キングストンのナショナル・ヒーローズ・パークへ埋葬された。
